The FAO estimates that right now one billion people in the world suffer from hunger and malnutrition. About 24,000 people die of hunger or hunger-related causes every day.
If you're not stopping by the Hunger Site daily you're missing out on a way to help that is so simple and easy it's practically unbelievable.
Give food for free to hungry people.
Probably you know this, but just in case: All you do is go to the Hunger Site and click on the "Give Free Food" button. That's it. One click a day is the limit, one click gets one cup of staple food to a hungry person. The food is paid for by the Hunger Site sponsors and distributed by America's Second Harvest and Mercy Corps. An easy way to remember: do it as soon as you get online in the morning, before you check your email. Or sign up for a daily email reminder. It seems like the least we can do.
